Guide to Buying Bitcoin in Costa Rica

Prerequisites
To buy Bitcoin with Bull Bitcoin you need the following
- A phone number registered with SINPE Móvil or a Costa Rican bank account in colones or dollars.
- A valid email address to link your account.
- A Bitcoin wallet where you can receive your funds.
Step by Step
1. Make sure you have a Bitcoin wallet or a place to receive your funds
- If you don’t have one, you can download the Bull Bitcoin Mobile Wallet from the following link: https://wallet.bullbitcoin.com
2. Go to app.bullbitcoin.com and create your account by registering your email and phone number.
- Verify that your number is registered with SINPE Móvil or that you have a bank account (in colones or dollars) from which you’ll send the funds.
3. Once you’ve completed this registration, you’ll be ready to add balance to your Bull Bitcoin account and start buying Bitcoin.
Bank Details
- Log in to your Bull Bitcoin account.
- Select the Deposit option.
- After depositing, select Costa Rica.
- Choose the transfer method you’ll use to send the funds (SINPE Móvil or IBAN bank transfer).
- Once this is done, all the necessary banking details will be displayed: the SINPE Móvil number or the IBAN account where you must send the money.
Purchase Methods
1. Balance Top-Up in Colones or Dollars
• Send a bank transfer or SINPE Móvil to the details provided in the Buy section. No description is required in the transfer.
• Once the money is received, your balance will automatically appear in the app, in colones or dollars, depending on the currency sent.
With the balance available:
- Press the Buy Bitcoin button.
- Select how much Bitcoin you want to buy.
- elect the address where you want to receive it:
- Lightning
- LiquiD
- On-chain
- Done.
2. Direct Purchase to Your Wallet (Automatic Purchase)
If you select the automatic purchase option, Bitcoin will be sent directly to the address you’ve configured.
- Lightning: credited in about 20 seconds after we receive the funds.
- On-chain or Liquid: credited depending on the network confirmation time.
- Done.
